Russell Smith met my mother when he was 21.They married and had 2 girls. Unfortunately the marriage didnt work out. And my mother took off with us girls.My father did not know where we were for 3 years.And one day there was a knock on the door and it was daddy.He looked for 3 years to find my sister and I.He never gave up and it paid off,Thank God! My mother never meant to hurt him by taking us kids away but she wasent thinking about his feelings at the time.I was 2 when I lost my father the first time and 5 when he came back in to my life.I am 47 and he is gone again.

Passed away on September 5, 2008. I know he didnt want to leave but his body was so tired and he was ready to go.I know he is watching me and smiling down on me.Life is not always fair but what we had no one can take away.I miss my father and I will make you proud,Dad.I promise.I will keep a part of you in me and every where I go you will be.i love you dad,your sweet potato!xxoo
